Disney World Vacation

March 2, Magic Kingdom:

On Monday, Tony's aunt worked out that we would open the park.  We weren't sure what that meant, but it meant a lot!  We got a tour of the park before it opened, got to go through Mickey and Minnie's houses by ourselves, met all the characters and rode the train to the front of the park with them to open the park!  We threw pixie dust while thousands of people took our picture - it was amazing!  But COLD!  My camera was

frozen, but we got some pics on mom's.

We also had the boys faces painted and

basically did all of magic Kingdom in one

long, tiring but absolutely fun day!  The lines weren't bad at all - I think the longest line all week was for the dumbo ride - we waited about 35 minutes!

This is one of the shows outside Cinderella's castle.  We needed the break and the boys enjoyed watching it.

Jordan the Tiger, Walker the Pirate.  They really got into character and were entertaining everyone as we waited to ride the Goofy Barnstormer roller coaster.  It was hilarious!

Tuesday we hung out a bit at the pool but it was still cold.  We went to Uncle Stan's house and got to get a tour of their place and saw a couple of alligators.  We went to dinner with him that night.  

Wednesday we went to Animal Kingdom.  It was really fun and the boys were so looking forward to it!  All Jordan talked about was riding the dinosaur ride for the past month and we watched it on YouTube a few times.  He was not going to be scared!!  He kept saying he was going to ride it twice!  However, after the first ride, he said "I'm never riding that ride again!"  We also got to have breakfast at the Tusker House with the characters (this is awesome and I highly recommend it!)  We had to wait even though we had reservations, but it was worth it.  The food was great and the boys LOVED meeting Mickey, Donald and Goofy again. 

Thursday we hung out again at the pool all day.  It was beautiful and the boys had so much fun.  This place we stayed was amazing, complete with it's own water park and lazy river, water falls, slides, numerous zero entry pools that were really shallow and perfect for the kids, snack bars, float rentals, putput golf, just a great place for kids!  There was even a section with sand like the beach that the kids could play in with hammocks to relax in!  The boys got spray painted tattoos on their bellies!  We really enjoyed this day of rest and water fun!  Poppy even rode down the slide! :)

The last day, we ended up doing Hollywood studios.  Tony's aunt and cousin hung out with us.  They got us in free all week, and we even got free stroller rentals!  It was amazing.  Friday, we didn't even have to pay to park!!  We spent most of the day at Hollywood studios which was great.  There weren't many people there, and the lines were very short.  The Buzz Lightyear ride was a lot of fun, the parade was great, the boys loved meeting Prince Caspian from the Chronicles of Narnia, Jordan LOVED the Indiana Jones stunt show, and Walker LOVED the Playhouse Disney Show, the adults got to ride Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller coaster, which was very fun!  The boys got their faces painted again one last time and got some nice big cookies! Then, we took the boys to downtown Disney which is a great place, there is a restaurant/store there where you can build your own dinosaur (which we did) and a place to dig for bones like at animal kingdom. There is also the Lego store which had some neat Lego statues.  All in all we had an amazing vacation - one we will never forget! :)  Thanks to Nana and Poppy for helping us so much, and for the wonderful place to stay!  Thanks to Tony's aunt and cousins for making it all so affordable! :0)
