Our Separate Lives

"As Americans, our lives are segmented into the spiritual, the secular and the sinful.  The goal is to combine the spiritual into the secular and as you do so the sinful fades away."  (Pastor Bob Coy)

As Americans, we compartmentalize our lives and don't actually allow the Holy Spirit to take over all aspects of it.  

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."  1 Corinthians 10:31

Pastor Bob commented that no matter what you do, honestly check your heart and ask if it's for the glory of God.  Can you imagine the implications of applying this to everyday life and every decision that we make?  Whether it be to eat something or drink something, or buy something or wear something or say something ... is it honoring to God?  Is this practical for American Christians?  It should be.  My prayer is, by God's grace and the power of the Holy Spirit, to try to apply this to my everyday life.
